Our favourite thing to do when stuck indoors, is to get creative in the kitchen, and these cookbooks help us do just that:

Whole Food Cooking Every Day by Amy Chaplin
The ultimate guide to whole food cooking. From breakfasts, lunches and dinners to plant-based milks, easy gluten-free breads and delicious cakes, Amy provides infinite tips and options for ways to cook for your personal tastes and needs. I also absolutely love her whole section of meal prepping and pantry essentials. Everything in this book is plant-based, gluten-free or grain-free and refined sugar free for ultimate nourishment.

Cannelle et Vanille by Aran Goyoaga
Aran Goyoaga is the queen of gluten-free cooking and baking, and this book has become an absolute staple in my kitchen. Full of comforting yet incredibly nourishing and wholesome dishes, Cannelle et Vanille will inspire you to find the joy and creativity in cooking. Pro tip: her recipe for Gluten-Free Sourdough changed my life. Her recipes are of course completely gluten-free, and even though some recipes contain dairy, they're very easy to switch out for plant-based options if need be.

Eating Out Loud by Eden Grinshpan
When I tell you that Eden has the best recipe for homemade hummus ever, I mean it. Eating Out Loud is full of Middle Eastern style dishes that are so full of flavour, from the ultimate sauces and condiments to breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and everything in between. These recipes use vibrant whole foods and an incredible array of ingredients that will blow your mind with every new recipe you try

Eat Clean Play Dirty by Danielle Duboise & Whitney Tingle
Since we unfortunately can’t get Sakara Life delivered here in Canada, this book has given us a little taste of what their plant-rich functional meals are like. The women behind Sakara have always been so inspiring, and this book brings it to another level. They share their stories, the beliefs that fuel Sakara, and a plethora of incredibly nourishing plant-based recipes to keep you fuelled and satisfied all day long.

The Moon Juice Cookbook by Amanda Chantal Bacon
This one is for bringing out our inner wellness witch. Full of adaptogen and superfood rich functional recipes, The Moon Juice Cookbook is definitely one for the experimental and creative home cook. Amanda shares how to stock your pantry with delicious foods and ingredients, and she does a beautiful job at explaining exactly what these foods will do for your body, mind and soul.

Eat Beautiful by Wendy Rowe
This ones a no-brainer for the skincare and beauty obsessed. Wendy takes you through how specific ingredients contribute to glowing skin, and discusses what vitamins and nutrients they provide. She then shares tons of beautiful recipes showcasing these ingredients to help you nourish your skin from the inside out. We also love her selection of recipes for homemade beauty products like masks, scrubs and toners.
